Brian Stern is currently the Creative Director at Design 446 where he brings with him over 20 years’ experience developing major corporate identity programs and collateral for both US and international organizations. Prior to joining Design 446, Brian spent 15 years in the design industry in New York City, working with a diverse clientele from Fortune 100 companies to small niche firms.

His work has been featured in leading design publications and books. Most recently, Brian sat on the judges panel for the  W3 Awards, sponsored by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts.

In 1990, Brian Stern received his BFA in Graphic Design and Photography from Philadelphia’s University of the Arts.



Brian is an annual Design Judge for the W3 Awards & Davey Awards competitions, sponsored by the AIVA. In 2009 he was invited to become a Design Judge for the international Creativity Awards competition.

Creative Expression

As a fine art photographer, Brian Stern’s work has been included in gallery exhibitions and is currently part of the collection at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Most recently Brian was featured in Creative Quarterly, Journal Of Art & Design.
